GETTING BACK IN THE BED?

What is it about getting back in the bed? Is it right or wrong? It don’t feel like it. It feels like I’m getting away with stealing something. Like I’ve pulled off a heist of sorts. It feels like I’ve gotten paid overtime for hours not worked. It feels like the world is outside my bedroom door knocking and banging but I ain’t answering. The world is just gonna have to wait!!! It feels like EVERYBODY is calling with a need, want or expectation but I ain’t answering the phone plus the ringer is off. Let me let you in on a secret. I honestly just ate an individually wrapped piece of chocolate with caramel inside and got back in my bed. Something wrong with that?? I’m laying on my night pillows in the day time. So what!! You ever?

Getting back in the bed reminds me that this world runs at a crazy pace that only a fool desperate for a dollar would run at. Why? You get in this bed worn out and depleted of energy and hope every night. You pray and cry yourself to sleep hoping that life will change. You clock into the same, same, same-same, same-same-same everyday. No change. As soon as you lay your head down, you pick it back up, get dressed and go.

Getting back in the bed that I just got out of reminds me that we are two different people. Monday through Friday, their depleted employee sleeps here but Richard the creative Child of God lives here as well. They push and squeeze me through a Play dough mold weekly to be like them and love it but I hate it. They give me four to six hours in this bed. When I get back in the bed, I ain’t on nobody’s clock. It’s my life my way!!!!

People say, “You still in the bed?” Like it’s a sin and abomination!! Resting actually is just as productive as working. Sleeping is just as important as being busy ain’t it? Doing absolutely nothing but lying here looking at the ceiling is still better than being involved in a bunch of nothingness ain’t it?

Hey you, Get back in that bed until you are ready to get up!! You don’t have a rest doctor or monitor. You are responsible for the rest that you so dearly need. Maybe this is the reason why our parents would make us go lay down and take a nap. We couldn’t get under the covers but on top we still got it in. Could it be that 60% of your craziness and mismanagement of your life is because you need a nap? Sleep deprivation is a real thing children.

If by chance you get back in the bed and you begin having withdrawals and your mind can’t rest, it’s just an indicator that you are running at a fool’s pace that you were not designed to operate at. Money ain’t everything and you can’t solve everybody’s problems.

Well, You do you and I’m gonna do me. I ate a piece of delicious chocolate individually wrapped in gold foil. I’m going for another. I’m just indirectly and lovingly exposing your issues with getting back in the bed. By the way, don’t date or marry people who don’t know how to rest, nap or unapologetically get back in the bed.

In conclusion, Sometimes the TRUTH comes individually wrapped in gold foil and love.

With genuine Love I offer,

#IndividuallyWrappedWIL
