You would think that if you were relieved of extra weight, that you would be joyful and celebratory. For the first two hours of my new day of being lighter, I was not. Instead, I was walking around feeling weird and empty. I felt like I was missing the weight. How and why would you miss extra weight of bad memories, and past hurts? Again, what keys are we talking about? The key to a house lost to foreclosure, a key to a car repossessed, a key to a past lover’s apartment, the password to your ex-boyfriend’s email? I know why you are still struggling?

First of all, you didn’t follow instructions. YOU DID NOT DISCARD THE KEYS, YOU REPOSITIONED THE KEYS!!

They are still in your POSSESSION. How do you know? It’s what I did. I took them off the key ring, but I didn’t discard them. Which means, they still take up space somewhere in my life. THE ONLY REASON WE HOLD ON TO OLD KEYS IS, THE DESIRE TO GO BACK AND TRY THE LOCK AGAIN. How do you know? One day in the OLD neighborhood, I rode by the OLD house, to try the OLD garage door opener.

Secondly, some of us have been carrying such heavy loads for so long, we are used to the weight. I AM PRAYING FOR THE PERSON

As you discard the old keys, you will experience new found weightlessness!! Enjoy it, celebrate it, live in it!! I admit it’s a new feeling at first, but I promise you will love it in a minute.
