“It’s Complicated” Words to Run On!!! Therealwil.com

My blood pressure creeps up higher and higher just imagining someone say, “It’s complicated.” It would seem like a straight question would only require a simple straight answer, but evidently not in the world we live in. Please do me a favor, when you read the next series of questions out loud, just recite the words, “It’s complicated,” right behind it.

Are you married? Are you heterosexual? Do you have any money? Are you working? Do you own or rent? Do you live alone? Do you have children? Are you in a relationship right now? Do you have good or bad credit? 

What in the world does that mean? Here is the short of this blog. You don’t have forever to live. You must be careful who you ATTACH yourself to, and who will ATTACH themselves to you. 

When people say to you concerning their life, “It’s Complicated,” I have come up with FOUR GOOD REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD RUN.

In my Maya Angelo voice, IF SOMEONE SAYS THIER LIFE IS COMPLICATED, BELIEVE THEM AND RUN!!

Interested? Let’s go!!! 

#1- RUN WHY? You have walked into a maze, a problem, a situation bigger than you, a puzzle that you are not able to solve. You are not EQUIPPED to crack the code. Your basic rescue instincts are saying to stay and help out. I am saying, RUN. Lifeguards are trained not to swim DIRECTLY out to a panicking person who is drowning. You will drown as well trying to help. 

I already know this blog has arrived too late for some of us. You jumped in with good genuine intentions to simply offer some assistance. Now you are floating with company at the bottom of the sea. PRIDE IN YOUR HEART is the concrete that will assist in your sinking!! You can’t help everybody!!

#2- RUN WHY? Most times, this person did not JUST STEP into a pile of “Complicated.” They were there when you arrived and you have no clue how long they have been there. It may be “new” to you, but not “new” to them.  

LESSON: A policeman said to me, when you find people in situations that they have labeled, “Complicated,” THEY ARE IN THAT SITUATION FOR A REASON!!! They have played some role in getting to this complicated place. 

#3-RUN WHY? Ultimately, you will become the guilty party in the whole situation. THIER PROBLEM will quickly become YOUR PROBLEM. You will become helplessly tangled in the web of confusion that they are in. If you are not careful, they will free themselves and leave you stuck struggling. Many times they will leave you with a guilt trip as well.

#4- RUN WHY? It’s complicated means they don’t even know how to fix it. Furthermore, because it is complicated does not out right suggest they want it to be fixed. Some people love “complicated” relationships and situations. I know people that will not get involved unless it’s a “complicated” endeavor. 

We live a world of thrill seekers. The more complicated the better. If you want no parts of life on the crazy side, take it from your brother, RUN!!!!

In closing, if your life is “COMPLICATED,” LEAVE PEOPLE THE H.. ALONE UNTIL YOU GET IT TOGETHER!!!!!
