What Does Your Lot Look Like? @Therealwil.com
Olive Garden’s parking lot is always full. I am never deterred because I know what’s inside. I have been inside and it is worth the wait.
A lady said to me, “I don’t know what the problem is? Is there something wrong with me? Why am I not attracting the right kinda guys?” I said, “You might have parking problems.”
You can be an outstanding establishment, but if you have parking problems, It could affect what comes inside to see. Some will never know how good the food served on the inside is because of the parking problem on the outside. Let’s see whose parking shall we?
Please realize than anyone parked around your establishment is taking up space.
1. Parked and inside?
Anyone parked should be inside and present in my life. Some people will park in spots just so no one else can park there. They have no desire to patronize your business. They just want to deter or make it difficult for other to.
2. Double Parked?
This person is taking up two spaces. More space than is actually requires. Someone who wants to be inside could be parked there. Don’t let people take up more time and space than you can afford.
3. Parked but Elsewhere?
This is the person parked in spots for your patrons but they are next door or elsewhere. It gives the appearance that it’s crowded inside the establishment but in actuality there is room available.
4. Invest in verbal signage!!
Verbally make it clear to all in and around you that there will be no loitering. Loitering is the act of remaining in a particular public place for a protracted time WITHOUT ANY APPARENT PURPOSE. You get it?
5. Buy a Tow truck!!
Those who take up space must be towed away and out of your space. DON’T HIRE A TOW COMPANY. YOU must do the towing. You must see the need and do it yourself. If someone else does the towing, you may be the one guilty of welcoming them back. Some people just love company. Maybe you welcoming and allow others to park without responsibility or expectation.
6. Missed Opportunity?
Could it be that the right investor came to the property but could not find parking and assumed you were already happy and overwhelmed?
7. You are worth it!
If by chance your lot is empty and no one is coming in, does not mean that the business is no good. It could mean that quality is worth paying for. Cheap freeloaders are not allowed.
What does your lot look like?
I love this! This forces people to look inward instead of outward. For some, this answers the age old question, why am I still single? This was a good one my friend!
